Description
Hand-Spun 10" Steel Shade finished in Antique Copper
The finish of these shades have blemishes. They are not perfect. The picture looks good, but there are blemishes.
Measuring 10" in diameter at the bottom, our Cascade shade is actually made of steel and antiqued to look as though it has an old copper patina. To be honest, this doesn't look "painted" like the cheap faux copper out there, but really looks just like unfinished copper. Matter of fact, we had to take a magnet to it to confirm it wasn't solid copper.
With a long neck that measures 4", this gives the shade a nice "vintage" appearance. High quality hand-spun shade. This is not pressed in a machine oversees on an assembly line.
If making a simple pendant, on the inside of the shade we recommend a keyless socket, 1-1/2" long nipple, and coupling. That will position your bulb in the proper place of the shade because of the long neck. For the wire, plug or canopy, and strain relief, that will be determined by your needs.
