Surface Mount Lever Switch - Grunge finish

Our new surface mount lever switch brings back the days when they made real switches...not some of the plastic junk they have out there now. So we created this switch to look like the old lever switches you found on an old machine or in an old brick warehouse.

It has a super-grunge used/old industrial finish. We made it that way on purpose. If you want to paint it yourself, it can be taken apart, painted, then reassembled. We show a few pictures with custom paint jobs. Unfortunately, we don't do custom painting. 

Please keep in mind that this switch is NOT rated for permanent installation in a home. It would look cool as one of your wall switches, but it will not meet electrical code for home installation. This awesome surface mount switch is designed for the lights/lamps you build that have a plug. (see voltage rating below)

This listing is for one switch and housing exactly like the 1st picture (the main photo). The switch, lever, and housing are included with two (2) cap nuts installed. We show it in some pictures with other parts/supplies, but of course all of that other stuff is not included.

Mounting hardware (as well as the cap nuts in each corner - 4 of them) are not included. We do not know how you are going to mount it or what you are going to mount it to. The four (4) mounting holes are 3/16". The cap nuts we used in the photos (the 4 corner ones) can be purchased separately or you can certainly use whatever you'd like. The height of the base of the housing is 1-1/8" so you will need mounting screws/studs that are longer than that to go into/through whatever you're mounting it to. 

This new Industrial Lever Switch comes assembled and ready to use right out of the box. It can be dissasembled by unscrewing the ball on the shaft of the lever and removing the 2 capnuts on each side. The actual switch component can be removed by loosening the hex nut on top and then unscrewing the switch (counter-clockwise) from the housing.

• DO NOT use this for permanent installation in a house or apartment. Please seek a qualified electrician when in doubt.
